Paso Robles Anniversary Wine Tasting Trip
There we were, celebrating our 10-year anniversary, in wine county, never been wine tasting and NO idea where to begin. We decided to book a half-day excursion with The Wine Wrangler through our hotel—figuring my husband’s taste for beer and my love for anything from a wine bottle wouldn’t get us to the “best” wineries. Thankfully, we found ourselves in the trusty hands of “Jan.”
Jan, from The Wine Wrangler, arrived early to pick us up—planning to give us the most time possible. We answered her questions about our preferred wines, food parings and our experience with wine (not much to brag about). We then headed out. Let me tell you there isn’t better way to see wine country then being driven around, even though it poured all day. We hit up four wineries, tasted at least five types of wine at each location and had a BLAST. It was like Jan knew us for years. We swapped stories about our kids and travels. Jan took us to wineries we would have never thought of trying, some…I would say the “BEST” ones, were well off the beaten path. Perhaps it was all the wine, but we gave her a big huge after the tour.

In short, go wine tasting and take a tour—in fact why not a Wine Wrangler tour! Don’t risk trying to drive, there is too much good wine and who knows you may make a friend along the way!
