Streets of San Juan
A few years ago we found ourselves docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Founded in 1509 by Spain, it’s the second oldest European capital city of the America. We spent our brief time on the island wandering the curving cobble stone streets gazing at the pastel painted colonial buildings that make remind you Europe.
We even ventured to Castillo de San Cristóbal; site of many notorious battles for control of the island. In 1983 the Castillo de San Cristóbal along with the surrounding area was declared a World Heritage Site.
